England Captain Harry Kane has made Bundesliga history in his first season with Bayern Munich with a feat that may not ever be repeated.

The England captain has been unsuccessful in his bid to win the title after Bayern were usurped by an incredible Bayer Leverkusen side who have yet to taste defeat.

Since signing from Spurs in a £82 million summer switch, Kane has scored 42 goals in as many games in all competitions

35 have come in 31 Bundesliga games and after the 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, Kane now holds one of the most impressive stats in the history of German football.

He has become the first player to score or assist against all 17 possible opponents in his debut campaign.

He has scored against 16/17 teams in the German top flight, only failing to find the net against Freiburg.

The double takes him to 400 senior career goals and also means it is his most prolific season, eclipsing the 41 strikers for Spurs in the 2017/18 season under Mauricio Pochettino

The 30-year-old still has a chance to achieve Champions League glory with the Bavarian outfit, with Thomas Tuchel’s men taking on Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

Kane has already bagged himself a handsome bonus payment thanks to a clause in his Bayern contract.

German outlet BILD say that Kane is entitled to a payment of €250,000 [£218,000] if he registers more than “40 scorer points” in a single season.
