On the earlier hours of Tuesday, 30 April, APR Basketball Club flight to Dakar with 12-player squad for BAL 2024 playoffs qualifiers after being drawn in Sahara Conference.

There are twelve players in the traveling squad 12: Adonis Filer, Dario Hunt, Ntore Habimana, William Robeyns, Wilson Nshobozwa, Axel Mpoyo, Obadiah Noe, Abdulah Ahmed Mohamed, Dan Kimasa, Christophe Ruta, Larson Shema Niyibizi and Bush Wamukota.

The team is led by head coach Mazen Trakh, assistant coach Bill Bayno and the second assistant coach Kamran Sufi.

Rwanda’s APR Basketball club open their Basketball Africa League 2024 Sahara Conference campaign against Tunisian’s US Monastir on May 4 as per fixtures released on 25 April.

The pair were drawn in the Sahara conference that will take place at Dakar Arena in Dakar, Senegal, from May 4-12. They will be joined by Nigerian champions Rivers Hoopers and BAL 2023 runners-up AS Douanes (Senegal).

BAL 2024 comprises 12 teams pooled in three conferences: Kalahari, Nile and Sahara.

The top two teams from each conference and the best two third-placed teams from across the three conferences will travel to Kigali for four seeding games followed by an eight-game, single-elimination playoffs and finals from May 24 to June 1. All the games will take place at the BK Arena.
