Rwandan top musician Meddy has confused his followers saying he is not a gospel singer after he has released a gospel song, Niwe Ndirimbo, featuring Rwandan gospel singer Adrien Misigaro.

The ‘Holy Spirit’ heat maker who has earned a name as the greatest musician of the modern time in Rwanda had been chanting about his musical exodus from secular to gospel since 2018.

In 2023, he released gospel track “Grateful”, the singer’s first debut song of 2023 carry a message of encouragement and aim to inculcate the spirit of thankfulness among people.

The recently releasing of another gospel track “Niwe Ndirimbo” may have confirmed Meddy has fully switched from secure to gospel music but it is totally wrong according to his own social media.

In the post on his X account, the ‘Ngirira Ubuntu’ singer has said he isn’t a gospel ginger- it’s way more than music.  This post gets many angry with some seem to misunderstand his message while others continue to accuse him of musically flopping after his marriage.

On the other side, some comments second him saying being a Christian believer is more important than being a gospel singer. You can read the comments here: https://twitter.com/Meddyonly/status/1758957161659474118

The singer has made popular tracks in the gospel that has left fans in Rwanda and the continent yearning for more including Ngirira Ubuntu, Ntacyo Nzaba and Holy Spirit.

One among these gospel tracks, “Holy Spirit” is a product of the singer’s transformative journey from the destructive behavior of drunkards towards a man of faith.
