Niyigena Clement opted out of the APR FC squad that played the goalless draw against Rayon Sports on Saturday, claiming the tiredness from the national team duties, it’s understood he’s been studying offers from abroad.

The stand-out center who was a pillar during the last season, has ended his contract at Shyorongi but the club would like to renew it as they eye the CAF Champions League better performances in the coming season.  

ISIMBI learned APR FC wants to extend his contract, but the players first asked them for time to look at abroad opportunities.

He says his dream is to play abroad and thinks this should be the time to chase his dreams. This is why he boycotted APR FC’s call to play against Rayon Sports, on Sunday.

As per Isimbi, Clement Niyigena is in talks with an unknown club from Belgium’s first division.

Niyigena Clement arrived at APR FC in 2019 but was immediately loaned to Marines FC. In 2020, he joined Rayon Sports and served them till 2022 when he returned to APR FC and signed for 2 years.
