Three of Rwanda premier League’s match day 29 have been played wherein APR FC defeated Gorilla FC by 2-0 at Kigali Pele Stadium, Marines FC survived relation scare with a 1-0 narrow win against Musanze FC and Etincelles suffered a 3-2 defeat against Kiyovu Sports.

Two goals from Nigerian Victor Mbaoma and Rwandan in-form Mugisha Gilbert earned the Champions APR FC 2-0 win to keep their invincible dreams alive with only one game to go.

Marines FC forward Fabio Ndikumana netted a lone goal in the 65th minute against Musanze FC on Thursday, May 2 to ensure that his team avoids relegation.

The victory means that with two games to go for the Marines in the topflight, they have now garnered 35 points, enough to keep them afloat since the teams contending with them in the relegation battle cannot catch up.

The relegation contest is now going to the wire among Bugesera FC, Etoile de l’Est, Sunrise FC, Etincelles and Gasogi United as they fight to stay in the topflight.

Marines FC have never been relegated since gaining promotion to the topflight in 1999.
