Jojea Kwizera and Josias King Furaha were on target in the United States and Norway respectively while defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe remained resolute at the back for AS FAR Rabat who beat MAS Fes 2-0 in the semifinals of the Throne Cup and move a step away from winning the trophy.

As per the Times Sport , this is how Rwandan players fared abroad over the weekend.

Morocco

Left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe was superb in defense and played full throttle as his club AS FAR Rabat beat MAS Fes 2-0 on Sunday, June 23, to qualify for the final of the Moroccan Throne Cup.

Tunisia

Defensive midfielder Bonheur Mugisha played full time for AS Marsa who lost 3-2 to Beja in the semifinals of the Tunisian Cup.

Despite the cup elimination, Mugisha remains club’s important asset and Times Sport understands that he is linked to a return to former club APR FC.

Sweden

Both Yannick Mukunzi and Lague Byiringiro were not in the match day squad of Sandviken IF who beat Skovde 2-0 in the Sperettan League.

In the same division. winger Rafael York did not make the squad sheet for Gefle IF who lost 4-3 to Vaberg in a seven-goal thriller.

Norway

Josias King Furaha scored again got his name on the scoresheet for the second time in a row when he netted the third goal in Jerv’s 3-1 victory over Lysekloster. Countryman and teammate Ange Mutsinzi also played the entire match.

Goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Ull/Kisa who drew 1-1 with Tromsdalen in the Norwegian division 2.

United States

In the Major League Soccer, midfielder Sanders Ngabo was an unused substitute for Philadelphia Union who lost 2-0 at home to FC Charlotte on Sunday at the Subaru Park.

In the USL championship, Jojea Kwizera scored on the stroke of halftime and had 90 minutes of action as his club Rhode Island FC thrashed Louisville City FC 5-2.

Elsewhere in the third tier, Innocent Nshuti was introduced in the second half but he could not rescue his side One Knoxville FC from losing 2-0 to Green Triumphs FC.

Kenya

Striker Arthur Gitego saw full time action for AFC Leopards who defeated Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in the Kenyan Premier League.

Rwandan duo of Patrick Sibomana and Emery Bayisenge, who won the league title with Gor Mahia with three games to spare, were handed the trophy on Sunday after beating Bidco United 4-3.

Latvia

Central defender Dylan Georges Maes played 81 minutes for FS Jelgava before being replaced by Marcis Stusts in their 3-1 defeat to BFC Daugavpils.
